Conclusion: Very good quality CDP Blanc with an intense nose showing good complexity, with plenty of pear and beeswax notes on top of roasted nuts and straw, supplementing with hints of honey. On the palate it has good body, well-structured and balanced, having also good concentration in flavours. Finishing with a fairly long length, it is ready to drink now and can maintain for another 2-3 years.

  • Italian born, Rhone Valley raised, Pierre (not to be confused with Raymond) is producing outstanding CDPs at exceedingly nice QPRs. This blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Bourboulenc and offers excellent fruit, elegant body and a very smooth finish. A winner from A to Z and we plan to start buying every vintage.

  • PHMG WAG: Tour de France 2016 (Chateau Lyon): This was a lesson (and treat) in texture after the crisper whites in this tasting. Waxy and thick with slight petrol note over the pear, stone fruit, and melon flavors. Great length and power. Fun!
