  To my surprise, in light of its age and the most recent CT comments, the wine was very nice from bouquet to finish: beginning with aromatics of cherry, plum and cedar, and ending with a savory herbaceousness that had been there from the first sip. In between, smooth round fruit and soft tannins with depth in the mouth and a complexity of flavors.

  Medium red color. Nose of red fruit and spice. Medium intensity. Tastes of red raspberry, strawberry and soice. A solid wine. Narrower in scope than the 1999.
