Dense, dark fruit with plum, violets and a bit perfume. Oaky and generous but not wholly balanced. Medium-fullish, generously fruity with violets, plum, spice and a certain robustness. A bit sweet.

Quite complex and generous nose. Pinot spiciness. Hints of mint. Red fruit and good balance with oak. Medium body. Sweet fruit, raspberries, cherries and dried herbs. Balanced oak. Violets, indish spices and ginger. A bit sweet, but also cool and fresh. Well-crafted.

Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): Warm. Alcohol heat spices the nose with red cherry and berry - the primary fruit character is very pleasant on the nose. In the mouth there is more of the same with slight stalky bitterness on the finish.

big nose, dark cherries
Ripe, sweet fruit, touch of candy
Enjoyable if a bit broad and foursquare
Not the most elegant piot
