Gave this a splash decant, then back in the bottle for. 2 hours and enjoyed over dinner at a B.Y.O.B. in center city Philly. Really loved a bottle I drank two years ago. This one was purchased from winery at a later date. It is likely slightly past its peak for my palate. A dark purple wine with dense black fruits- plums, blackberries, baker’s chocolate and a hint of holiday spice. Nicely balanced decent finish, subtle minerals on the back end. Not as bright or fresh as I remember, as the acidity as faded. Still tasty, and I would drink up if you have one. This was part of my “inventory reduction program” this week
This checks all the boxes for me and drinking beautifully. Fruit, acidity, crushed stones, integrated tannins. A great bottle of wine. So concentrated and so satisfying.

Bought at a big discount as the new owners continue to destroy the BV brand. This is a big wine at 15%abv and even at 7 years old is a baby. I think the WA review nails it as this is flavor packed but rustic and somewhat backwards. Will be interested to see how this evolves over next decade
My kind of Cab right here. Highly expressive and voluptuous with loads of plum, blackberry, mocha, espresso, dark chocolate, dust, and milder notes of eucalyptus. On the palate a very suave and sophisticated expression with great drinkability today but plenty of longevity for the cellar.
