Dark nose, full body, blackberry and plum, silky mouth coating tannins, very long fruity finish, good acid. Went very well with a strip steak. Decanted for 2 hours.

At the highly discounted pricing that this wine was made available by the wineries new owners (Seven Apart), this is a screaming great QPR and the best 2017 vintage wine I've had to date. Still young, as it grew in seriousness and complexity throughout the night. At PnP, it is a luscious plum fruited wine with nice viscosity and so smooth. The structure was a bit lacking making it a crowd pleaser but not much else. With hours of air, the structure and secondary flavors began to nicely support the wine and make more special. My highlight was experimenting by adding an ounce of the 2012 Cliff Lede BTK to a couple of ounces of this wine -- a sacrilegious but amazing infusion of complexity and seriousness to this wine! Enjoy it if you got it - probably will improve with age.

PNP, no detailed notes... but nice, rich fruit that carried into the finish. Smooth (but present) tannins. Loved it... glad I have a few more.

Big dark fruit bomb, dusty coating tannins, very long finish, and lots of acidity

Wonderful - but really needs an hour-plus decant to open up. When it does - it was excellent!
