Delicious apricot and honey laden golden nectar, sweet petrol and floral notes with a full mouth-coating tropical fruit basket of deliciousness. Glad we waited.

Medium straw. Nose is quite developed with kerosene prominent, underlying lime sherbet. Off dry, light bodied, oily texture, kerosene, green apple, grapey, good length finish with fresh acids, touch of cream. Very good.

I love Rieslings! Another quality wine under $20. The petrol was more pronounced than on the Leitz and in a good way. Clean, refreshing a fun to drink. Pear, apple and spice are what I tasted most.

(Von Hovel Oberemmeler Hutte Riesling Kabinett) This is a monopole and has to be one of the most underrated sites in all of the Saar. Nose of lemon curd, white flowers, intense wet slate, cream and apricots. Palate is concentrated and ripe with wonderful piquant acidity and lush fruit that echoes on the finish. The fruit is very stoney and the interplay between fruit and mineral is striking. A delight.

Medium gold. Quite mature, off dry, petrol, ripe apple, touch of cream, fresh acidity, good length finish. Still going strong if not overly complex.

Vanilla, citrus, apple, a very little spritz. Very nice - good acid and balance. This was a great bargain @$18.
