  • A Barolo on the lighter side of life. Drinking very nicely now, superbly fresh. The cherries keep lingering.

  • Nice and drinkable Barolo. Soft with the La Morra touch.

  • 60 minutes Audoze, cork and fill in vg. cond. Medium garnet, faded to an orange/tawny rim, so pretty. On the nose, aromas: lemon, earl grey tea, abondoned water well, root cellar, strawberry, old leather, cedar, and all forms of dirt. The palate is medium-bodied, yet to evolve, but fully approachable. Structure is good, not great, which is no detriment here, this is just going to drink early. Excellent acidity, nearly resolved tannins, red-fruited, with medium flavor development, and a touch of roses. By the second hour, this is a classy, well-composed Barolo wine that's just beginning its ascension; oak still in control of flavors, this needs some time yet to be complete, in the zone. Drink now or hold thru 2029, before it begins its downward climb. 14,5% abv., crazy good price on these, and easily recommended+

  • Open 24 hours. Clearly a modern style, as it is attractive and drinkable with only a one day airing. Light-medium ruby. Pretty red fruits in the nose. Savory in the mouth, fairly rich, good fruit, soft and flavoury. Very voluptuous. Ready to go. Racy. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

  • Pale ruby. The nose displays pronounced intensity aromas of plum ham, ripe dark cherries, liquorice, dates, cedar and hints of flowers.

It is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium+ fine-grained tannins and a high warm alcohol. It is full-bodied with pronounced intensity flavours. The finish is long.

It is a good quality wine. Whilst the finish is very persistent and the generous fruit concentration helps to balance the alcohol, it definitely lacks freshness in the mouth, due to a moderate acidity, and in the nose, where the aromas are rather overripe.
