My first crack at this, and I loved it. Decanted for about 45 minutes, then back in the bottle to take to dinner. The air and extra time really opened it up. A great vintage for Carillon.

Cold rainy Nite in MSP but all was good at St Genevieve tonight! Flighted w/ Ramonets '14 Bienvenues-Bâtard. I loved both of them and its hard to pick a favorite even though both offered somewhat different expressions. Both delivered the absolute upmost in fruit purity, terroir expression, minerality and finesse. Both will live in my head for a good long time as two of my best ever experiences with Chardonnay's hallowed ground in Puligny Montrachet Grand Cru vyds in the hands of two of the best producers. This was slightly more direct & focused while the Ramonet showed a bit more fruit and yet felt the most buoyant and graceful of the two for me. I absolutely loved them both. They both passed the theme requirements ( BALANCE) with flying colors! Thanks Brad E. You should have had the trout with these :). My 2 CO-WOTN.

Heidi's Gang: The White Burgs Reign (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 2 hours. Fresh nose with juicy fruits, lemon with an infusion of lime, intense, fresh green herbs. The palate is lean, stone and flint driven, very crisp, intense, lemon, orange, white citrus, elegant with an unmistakable intense along with wisps of orange. Great bottle. 95 to 96pts.

Direct, pure and unevolved. So fine and delicate on the nose, with exquisite white peach fruit, some fennel tops, flinty mineral and honeysuckle. In the mouth it is a complex and harmonious wine. It has a spine of minerally acidity, around which perfectly ripe orchard fruits gather. It has such great intensity and weight, but is not heavy in the slightest. Each sip unlocks something delicious and the wine stays with you for a very long time after swallowing. One of the greatest young white wines you could hope to encounter.

Transparent character. Very much BBM but still quite young. Very clean bottle.
