- Nose: Medium + intense noses of strawberry, red plum and some mushroom, plus herbs, little secondary aromas and of vanilla and delicately incorporated wood. One notices the carbonic acid in the nose, probably from the filling from barrel to bottle (without pumping over).
- Palate: An easy drinking wine with high acidity and a lot of lightness, lean (medium - in body), medium tannins and a little less long in the finish (medium finish). It is not complex but already shows Roagna's style (wines with lightness and not a gram of fat, no sexiness) and is rather something for demanding drinkers. May not gain by further storage. 88 points.

Fresh opened has a delicious hint of spiciness with lovely fruit. Medium to medium-light, high acidity, moderate tannins but still has sufficient structure. Not tried with food.

First couple sips I wasn't a fan, but with food it grew on me. Low tannin, high acid. Very light viscosity. Meaty, some funk. OLD school. So different from Vietti. Meat, tobacco, smoke, tar, blackberry, herbs & liquorice.
This was super tight and closed initially. With about an hour of air it opened and revealed some lovely fruit on the nose with spice and fennel, and loads of mineral notes. The palate remained tight and unyielding throughout the evening. The acidity is super taut and there are more tannins than most dolcetto. Definitely an old school style and I think a little too young right now. I enjoyed this, but it is a wine for people who like classic old world styles. I suspect in 1-2 years it will show better.

Lovely integrated velvety sweetness with earthy funk. Likely could age a few more years. Awesome qpr.
