Almost Chablis-like pale color. Ripe but still discrete nose of apple, lemon, white peach; warming up, (light) honey, some marzipan. On the palate, rather unidimensional but vibrant mild (pink) grapefruit flavour, closed by a less individuated mineral finish, with some (dark) honey hints; warming up, all this is layered in a somewhat more parallel fashion, but the overall vibrancy is slightly diminished. Really good quality here, and definitely entered its drinking window.

Frederic Wildman Luxury French Tasting (Swift & Sons, Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Lots of apple, lemon and lemon peel throughout. Elegant and complex for a wine at this price. Wonderful mineral start and finish. Best to cellar for a few more years.

Frederic Wildman Luxury French Tasting (Peninsula Hotel - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. An interesting contrast with the Brules. This was less fleshy, more textured. Moderate concentration, good length.
