Very creamy on the nose , soft oxidation too but not flawed just aged. Interesting how much oaky leftover is there post 8yrs in bottle . Still alive albeit its best years are behind and that’s pretty much it. 90 and drink sooner than later.

Drank over three days. Medium lemon in the glass. Lemon polish, lemon rind, white flowers, hawthorn, acacia, apple blossom, baked yellow apple, baked pear, and vanilla reveal themselves the nose. A rich, waxy texture coats the mouth as bright, racing acidity provides balance. An impressive wine that improved with each day; developing more stone fruit characteristics with time and taking on greater depth and concentration by the third day since the wine underwhelmed initially.

Ravinia at Home (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Small glass, brief note. Intriguing combination of rich, savory, and sweet hints (botrytis?) with impressive concentration. Very good now.

Pale lemon. Muted mineral nose. Lean palate of stone fruit, biscuit and mineral which took some time to open up.

Smells awesome and herby. Herb salad in an awesome way. And some lemon zest on the finish. That’s killer. Salty.
