Very expressive, spicy and complex on the nose. On the palate, this is light and easy-going, offering a subtle combination of ripe, sweet, apple, pear and citrus flavors. Its moderate acidity does a good job of offsetting what would otherwise be a cloying sweetness. No complaints though, at $7.99 on a close-out. 50+5+13+14+6=88

We liked this light weight Chard as a lunch wine... it has all the varietal flavors, just milder than the big guys. At $14 it's a very good buy, especially as a Happy Hour wine with finger food. Everybody will like this one.

N: Butter, vanilla, poss spice? ALMOST mercaptanish?
P: Med, poss MF, body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish oak/frt nicely balanced by acidity. The balanced finish is LONG, on the tangy side, though ult with traces of bitterness. Drink now & into early Winter '19. My VG-/VG, but higher IF drinking for QPR -- & drinking this... "yesterday".

The Nelson Santa Barbara seems disjointed enough to take away from whatever you are nibbling on, as the flavor is distracting. Soft oak but still noticeable with a sweet citrus that seems to be at odds. I much prefer their Santa Maria blend!

P: Med, poss MF, body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish oak/frt adequately balanced by an acidity which leads the way into a fairly LONG, pleasant finish with a very, VERY slight tanginess. NICE QPR @ $11.95 for now & into at least the 1st 6 mos of '18.
