Just lovely with freshly shucked sydney rock oysters. My last bottle - wish I had more. Still will go another 5 years assuming no premox but the freshness and oyster minerally of the palate just seems a perfect fit last nioght with oysters. Most impressive.

Still pale straw yellow unlike the much yellower Vaucopin of the same year. Lovely steely, minerally nose, add some lanolin, oyester shell and some lactic type lees esters giving complexity. Palate is powerful, intense and still very fresh. Lots of complexity and intensity. Everything you would want from a 1er chablis. Excellent wine.

Spectacular 1er. Razor edged but densely flavorful. Apple, lemon, iodine and seashells and some subtle nuttiness (but not in a premox kind of way). Long finish and impeccably balanced.

Aromatically challanged. Poured and waited an hour. Perhaps, it is too young. Nice focused taste of tart apple and a little flint. Felt clean and well balanced. Enjoyed this bottle with my wife's preparation of encrusted grouper. Maybe better with additional bottle aging.
