Wow! This has entered its prime. Fruit has opened up over the past year.
Perfect balance and good fruit, acidity, spice and complexity (especially for a village level). Elegant wine. We need more 2014 vintages…. May the climate cycle turn back pleeeease.
Well done Romain!

Very Chambolle, very 2014, with high (but not excessive) acidity, flowers and soft red fruit on the nose, silky body, smooth tannins, and a delicious combination of cranberry tang and sweet strawberry on the palate. Just a touch of spicy oak on the finish, which added complexity. The combination of sweetness and acidity made it an excellent foil for duck confit.
