A delicious cherry-forward wine, with upfront flavors of bing cherry, cherry juice, and cherry mesocarp that evolve over time to also reveal pleasant tea notes and sophisticated hints of mushroom. Opulent aromas of red fruits fill the glass. The mouthfeel shows a perfectly aged wine, with leveled-off acidity but vibrancy and structure and a long finish.

Interesting wine. Not completely shut down, there are hints of some secondary development on the nose and the palate is starting to integrate. There's still a gritty tannic structure that needs some time to resolve though. You can tell this is a Chambolle, but the fruit is fairly heavy and dark (for a CM).... a nice wine, although I prefer my Chambolle-Musignys to be more on the lighter, red fruited side of the spectrum. Wait on next bottle for at least a few years I would say.
