Deep ruby, spicy and herbaceous, with both dark and red fruit. Vegetal flavors mix with pepper, spice, and more red fruit. Highly concentrated with a long finish. I've read this is a wine for Pinot lovers. The St. Laurent reminds me more of Cab Franc from the Loire. The vegetal and spicy notes stood tallest for me.

A: Clear, deep ruby with purple hints at the meniscus. N: Raspberry, chalk, cherry and white pepper. Drop of vanilla. Medium intensity. P: Dry. High acidity, light body, medium alcohol(13%) though there is a little burn so not altogether integrated. Medium (-) tannin (this saw 25% old large casks according to the importer) , medium flavor intensity. Again a good concentration (long finish) of mainly primary aromas. Dark cherry, raspberry, good savory floral white pepper and a mature aspect of cloves and vanilla. C: Balance -v. good but alcohol stands out a little Length- Long Intensity- Medium Complexity-Medium. Primary and secondary characteristics Very good quality
I would buy this again. St Laurent can be found not just in Austria. There are examples in all sorts of places. Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand. A great alternative to a young pinot noir. At around $18, this worthy of a try. I will give Sattler's Zweigelt a try next.

Strawberries, cherries, wild berries, black peppercorn and some vanilla from the oak. Medium bodied, medium tannins, easy to drink.
