Medium straw color. Moderate intensity aromas of peach, peach pit, slight fresh apples, slight ripe lemon. Dry, medium-bodied, medium alcohol, elevated acidity, slight phenolic bitterness. There's a bit of integration and mineral/wet stone/flat pellegrino impression. The oak wasn't as apparent to me as before.

Monday Night Blinds (Home (Noe st)): (non-blind - my wine) Also medium straw, reflections of yellow. Nose: - Elevated intensity nose of canned peach, and underripe white peach pit. - Slight grapefruit (thiolic notes). - Fresh flowers. Palate: - Dry, medium body, medium plus alcohol - 13% - High acid - some tart malic as well. - Slight peach pit. - Slight bitterness - phenolic. - Mineral (wet stone) impression on the finish. - Seems to have slight oak influence - slight creaminess and allspice on the finish. It smells like Viognier but is dry and finishes tart and high in acid.
An interesting Albariño in a high-acid, mineral style, but with some oak influence. A bit disjointed.
from producer website: First produced in 1995, also 100% Albariño is fermented in Bordeaux barrels from one to five years and then aged for four months in used, Bordeaux barrels, with “bâtonnage” followed by a further two months in stainless steel tanks.

Muted flavors of grapefruit and stone fruit. Strong mineral finish. Can find better Alabariño at this price point.
