Dark and extracted, this is a nice wine, with a shorter finish and consistent palate of dark berries and rhubarb pie. It tasted same the second day (air pumped out and in wine fridge) - which is an excellent sign. It's simple and fun, but probably not something I would buy again.

We let this breathe for a while and it was 100% varietally correct, a little on the light side (which is OK style wise for us), but lacked some character and depth that we normally see from Pinots in this appellation. That said, maybe this is what you get for $24 from Russian River Pinot. We prefer Monterey County Pinot - better wine for the price point. Recommend Hahn SLH, their 2014 is a full 2-3 points better than this for the same price or less on sale. Buy the 2016 and let it sit for 2 yrs.

Earthy aromas, sweet cherry, plum, round finish. Nice wine for the price.
