  Smooth fruit, maybe hints of strawberries and and some fig.
  Fairly prevalent tannins that work quite well.
  Feels quite layered and has potential for a bit of complexity and nuance but needs more years in the cellar.
  Definitely one to come back to down the line.

In essence, this youthful wine is elegant and flowing with complex, layered fruit, animating acidity and papery tannins, but this bottle is (once again) disfigured by a whiff of carbon dioxide. Not rated. On the second day the wine has lost quite a bit of its finesse, the tannins in particular seem considerably rougher. Not rated.

  The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, cinnamon, violet, black pepper and mushroom. It tastes like red currant, prune and tobacco. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

  Powerful yet seductive wine. Explosion of fruit on the nose - raspberries and cherries mostly. That carries over on the palate, where the wine is very minerally built with good acidity, peppery finish, and still muscular tannins. A very interesting Burgundy wine - I would wait 3-4 years because this will definitely get better with time. 91 for now, 93-94 potential.
