1 hour decant in glass. Ruby with fallow pink edge in color. Nose of raspberries, blue fruit, molasses and white mushroom. On the palate: raspberries, sous bois and shitake mushrooms. Silky tannins are perceived on gums and cheeks. Long finish of raspberries and sous bois. Remained consistent over multiple hours of enjoyment, so I think the decant was sufficient, but still would recommend more years in the cellar (at which point this likely gains a point or two).

Late night at Maison Dakota with Asparagus. Drank in Grassl Cru. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of sexy fragrant earth, slight red candy, red cherries, black cherries, ?smokyh stones. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of lovely sweet red cherries, slight black cherries, sweet pomegrante, peonies, very crunchy minerally earth. Medium+ finish. Very good quality. Another super enjoyable 2017 Red Burg in a good place. Still has years of development ahead also. Nice depth.
