  Based on other tasting notes and information on the vintage I was expecting a bolder Australian Shiraz with more typical peppery flavour and plenty of tannins especially so early in the drinking window. The bottle we drank was incredibly uneventful with the wine only presenting anything noticeably after eating food (roast beef). The bottle was decanted ~3 hours before drinking and had been taken out of the cellar 24 hours to get to room temp. Hoping this is an anomaly or perhaps needs to be out of the bottle for longer before tasting.

  I haven’t had this wine for ages
  
  Colour translucent ruby red with purple flashes clear edges , not as dense as I expected but excellent all the same 15/15
  Nose fresh vibrant complexity rich fruits of raspberry plum , spice , vanilla , dark red rose florals , ripe tannins , everything you wish for in a wine is here 30/30
  Palate full flavoured rich luscious velvety silky elegant , tannins and acidity in perfect harmony sensational finish 20+ seconds , just needs time to develop the secondary flavours 42/44
  Overall , yes it’s young and fresh but drinking with such harmony and depth 11/11
