Pale straw yellow with green tinge in colour at Dec 16 in Japan. v/good Sweet newish vanilla oak with figs , lemon ,white peach, nectarine fruit tones showing, a surprise for a std bourgogne blanc style. v/good. Very well made wine an a producer who has turned around its winemaking to modern clean wines since the mid 2000's. On the palate similar flavours as above with mid palate lacking richness , clean acid but ok for drinking now with seafood an style. Good effort . better than most for this style an vintage.Ready to drink

Crisp and refreshing, yet full and long on the finish. Though the acidity is fairly high, there has been just enough oak aging to balance out the sharp green fruit and vegetables on the palate with hints of butter, toast, and coconut. This wine is typical for the region; at a different end of the spectrum from the heavily oaked, fuller body chardonnays that are all too common place elsewhere. My personal taste tends towards sweeter whites, but I can definitely understand the appeal here!
