Medium straw colour in the glass. Aroma of peach and melon, quite floral and interesting, drawing me in. Upon tasting the wine is broad with great mouth feel and a burst of fruit, butter and citrus - not too oily. The wine holds together well and has a certain fagilitiy to it as dips away quickly into a much more linear finish with an acidity spike and a then smoothes out with a creamy end note. This is way undervalued entry wine in my view as presents so well. Pleasant surprise!

NobleRottersSydney - Burgundy (Fix, St James, Sydney): {screwcap, 12.5%} [Glenn] Some sandalwood oak, more noticeable after the previous leaner Chablis’. Ripe chardonnay fruits – melon, peach – on the edge of a bit anonymous, but it’s pretty solid otherwise. Some mango, butter, malo character. Medium weight and acidity.

This wine surprised me in how good it presented. So refined, delicate and with minerality. White flowers, melon, apple a hint of citrus and a certain wet stoney-ness. Very balanced through the tasting experience. For me better than a number of Premier Cru recently tasted.
