The bouquet shows some cherries, earth and perfume. On the palate red berries, herbs, earth, good acidity and bitterness and slightly drying and sticky tannin. Young and pleasant. Can age for some years. 86+

The wine is made from purchased Nebbiolo grapes. Aged for a year in French oak casks.
Luminous, translucent raspberry red color. Fresh and youthful nose with attractive, perfumed aromas of crushed rose petals, ripe red cherries, some brambly raspberry tones and a little bit of wild strawberry. The wine is bright, medium-bodied and moderately ripe on the palate with juicy yet sinewy and very focused flavors of rich red cherries, pronounced sour cherry bitterness, some earthy spices, a little bit of gravelly minerality, light brambly raspberry tones and a hint of jammy strawberries. Despite its juicy fruit department, the wine feels surprisingly lean and structured with its high acidity and firm, grippy and still very youthful tannins. The finish is quite stern and grippy with pure, moderately long flavors of ripe raspberries, sour cherry bitterness, some wild strawberries, a little bit of stony minerality and a floral hint of perfumed roses.
A very sophisticated and vibrant Langhe Nebbiolo that might be lacking the complexity of a true Barolo or Barbaresco, yet feeling as serious as any Nebbiolo from the more esteemed appellations. The wine is all about finesse and wonderfully harmonious balance between the fruit, the body and the structure. Drinking beautifully now, but most likely will only benefit from further aging - at only 1½ years of age the wine is almost painfully young. Recommended.
