  Exceeded expectations! Gorgeous, plush - just what you thought a great ‘97 Napa Cab from a great producer should taste like. Wish I had more, but this empty etched bottle will go on my Rack of Fame for sure.

  Good wine but not outstanding. Maybe an unlucky bottle but certainly left something to be desired and was outperformed by a 750ml 1996 Dominus. Surprisingly closed aromatics with fig, prune, cedar, bark, green olive, tea and stems. Fairly green on the palate as well with a bit of red fruit hanging around and a pleasant mouthfeel of aged Napa earth. Etched 1L bottle.

  G7 (Jeff): From a rare etched 1L bottle (433 produced). I liked this more than others. Earthy dark blackberry fruit nose. A bit monolithic. Strong finish.
