Medicinal notes, dried cherry skin, pit of a fruit, dusty spices, coloa, dessicated rose petals, biiter root in there too with an amoro dinish. Sounds nice enough, and it was, but the body is a little thin in the mid-palate, very drying dusty finish. Still, pleasant and better with food. Blind

Initially didn't care for it upon opening. While it had the color, weight, and mouthfeel of barbaresco - it was lacking the flavor. It is still very young, so patience could add another point or two to the score. Needed every bit of 3 hours in the decanter before it started to come together. I ended up enjoying it but would prefer to utilize the Cellar space for other producers. Hold until 2020

Where I usually find the Rombone more brooding with darker fruit, this seemed to be a cross between the red fruited, floral Manzola and the usual Rombone. Very approachable now and perhaps not a long term ager.
