Mature black fruit with fully softened tannins and some faint roasted beef. Medium weight and good balance. I liked this more tonight vs when last tasted in 2012.

Plum and meaty aromas and flavors with licorice and a fair amount of unresolved tannins, which softened quite a bit with food. Should have decanted for an hour+.

This is an OK wine, nothing wrong, but kind of non-descript even after almost three hours of decanting. Minerally, and a bit tannic, perhaps it needs even more time?

A: Absolute wallop of cranberry on the nose. I could not ever get over the overwhelming cranberry all over this wine. The only other thing but cranberry on the nose was bacon.
T: Real gripy tannins and the bitter taste of cranberries.
Opinion: nice long finish. I am not a huge fan, but the bitterness of the cranberries turned me and others off. However, I will say that the decanting did wonders.
