  • What do I know? Quite different to the previous tasting. Ripe, honeyed, some sweetness, mineral streaks. Needs plenty chillin'. Very good for the price (550 baht).

  • Sat, 11/10/18, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Info from Importer Eric Solomon's pg: "...A lively blend of Grenache Blanc with smaller percentages of Chardonnay and Roussanne...from vyds [ave 30 yrs old] planted on the gentle slopes [in alluvial gravel soils] facing the Mediterranean just a few km inland from the sea." Hand harvested, fermented in tank, then aged 4 mos in tank on lees.

N: MINERALS with earth & undertones of apples? Tough to parse

P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish, applish frt balanced by an acidity which subtly controls the action into & through the LONG, balanced, tangy/swt finish. For now & PROBABLY through '19. My VG+/EXC-, arguably the higher based upon the QPR of this vendor's $9.95, which is $2 < wine-searcher's only current listing. 90 pts WA.

Note: Also tasted on 6/16, 7/28, & 9/1/2018, TNs remarkably consistent, something I can't always say (for whatever reason).

  • Sat, 09/1/18, $2 Tasting: Info from Importer Eric Solomon's pg: "...A lively blend of Grenache Blanc with smaller percentages of Chardonnay and Roussanne...from vyds [ave 30 yrs old] planted on the gentle slopes [in alluvial gravel soils] facing the Mediterranean just a few km inland from the sea." Hand harvested, fermented in tank, then aged 4 mos in tank on lees.

N: CLOSED; Some minerals & POSS grn apples?

P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE frt beautifully offset by an acidity which makes itself felt into the LONG, tangy/swt (70:30) finish with periodic glimpses of a very, VERY slight bitterness &/or honey. Well made for now & through '19. My EXC-. 90 pts WA. [This vendor's $9.95 is $2 < wine-searcher's only current listing.]

  • Sat, 07/28/18, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Info from Importer Eric Solomon's pg: "...A lively blend of Grenache Blanc with smaller percentages of Chardonnay and Roussanne...from vyds [ave 30 yrs old] planted on the gentle slopes [in alluvial gravel soils] facing the Mediterranean just a few km inland from the sea." Hand harvested, fermented in tank, then aged 4 mos in tank on lees.

N: Clsd; Minerals, lemons way beneath?

P: Med body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) NICELY counterbalanced by an acidity which is the face of this into & through the LONG, tangy/swt finish with hints of a very VERY slight bitterness & some honey. For now & through '19. My VG/VG+, more IF one's focus is QPR. 90 pts WA. [This vendor's $9.95 is $2 < wine-searcher's only current listing.]

N: Minerals; notes of grass? Attractive

P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt counterbalanced by an acidity which initially builds, then mitigates as it morphs into a LONG, balanced, tangy/swt (55:45) finish. VERY nicely made for now & through '19, not to mention an *impressive* QPR -- even though this vendor's $9.95 is $1 > than wine-searcher's only listing. My VG+/EXC-. 90 pts WA.
