Wine is made from 100% Clairette grapes. Possibly the first time I had the pleasure to try such a wine. And a pleasure it is. Not quite like anything else I tried, it comes with an assured yet subtle nose with hints of apple and pears, but also something more exotic, spices perhaps. Taste is unusually smooth, yet with sufficient acidity, fruit and some underlying spices to keep everything well balanced and interesting. You can also notice the oak, but again, well integrated and in no way overpowering. To me it is the balance of unusual smoothness, while still fresh, that makes this wine stand out. Really great QPR.

Wihte wine nose with plenty of apples, pears, ripe tropical fruit, a green and minty freshness and something that also reminds me of bath house chloride. Dry palate, medium+ acidity, a slight bitterness on the finish. Not my type of white wine, I find this rather boring.

Youthful nose with medium intensity. Tutti-frutti galore, pear caramel, white flowers, passion fruit and peach. Really generic white wine nose.
Dry, medium(-) acidity and medium body. Fat and clumsy in the palate. Medium intensity with flavors of peach, passionfruit and banana peel. Slight bitter and a bit of heat on the finish.
Generic white wine. I can't understand the hype for this wine...

100% Clariette and smells like it too. Whew, don't like it all that much but here it is. Works at $14 or so.

Väldigt ljus i färgen
Citrus, blommig, persika
hög syra, fet i munnen, lite småbeski munnen
Ett bra vin för prislappen på ca 13 euro.
