  Consistent with prior notes, mellow for a zin but still has guts and fruit for the spicy pairing. Red fruits, pepper, anise, plums....really nice.
  
  RC wines have not disappointed, particularly the lower price points seem to punch above their weight.

  Popped and poured on first glass, seemed closed and past it's time. Went to the movies, wine had been open for a couple hours and really opened up.
  
  Medium ruby color some browning on the edges. Not giving up much on the nose even after the decant. Palate is tart red fruit, spice/pepper mid palate, licorice, plums. Finish is 15-20 seconds. Tannins resolved.
  
  Would thought this would be done, never know with Zins this age. Nice wine, would drink now
