  • Cloudy blond beer with 6.5% ABV. Yeasty with some lemon on the taste. Some herbs and spices as well. Very nice and refreshing beer.

  • Best before January 2017, 6,5% alcohol.

Cloudy, almost fully opaque yellow color with subtle lime-green overtones. Quite big, foamy and medium-long head that concentrated into a dense, white foam mattress. The nose feels juicy, sweet-toned and fruity with aromas of orange marmalade, peach, some tangy wheat tones, a little bit of aromatic herbal character and a hint of grainy malt. The beer is moderately full-bodied and somewhat sweet with a subtly tangy-tart undertone, rendering the beer more saison-like than reminding of typical Wit. There are flavors of spicy wheat-driven malt character, some grainy tones, a little bit of ripe peach and a hint of herbal spice. The carbonation feels very soft and gentle and the hop bitterness is nonexistent. The finish is herbal and tangy with somewhat tart wheat character and moderately long flavors of grainy malt, some phenolic baking spice tones, a little bit of peach and mirabelle plum and a hint of herbal bitterness.

A solid, balanced and well-crafted wheat ale from this reliable Dutch brewery. The beer really doesn't remind me that much of those Belgian wheat beers I associate with the term "Wit", but instead makes me think more of saisons and the like. And I really don't mind, since I tend to prefer saisons over wheat beers. This is pretty darn enjoyable and drinkable stuff with great sense of balance and nice depth of flavor. Terrific value at 2,69€ for a 0,33-liter bottle.

  • 3rd Deals Gastronomy Fair; 3/29/2015-3/30/2015 (Grande Bretagne Hotel, Athens): Haze deep lemon color, the nose is clean, showing med intensity, dried citrus and pineapple, ripe banana, spicy coriander notes, mastic with clove too. In the palate its med intensity with nice body, orange and clove, lemon zest, sweet bergamot notes in the med+ finish. Very good
