Deep garnet color, complex bouquet: tar, impregnated wood rails, summer, heat - very attractive good weight on the palate, leather dust, tannin, all very well integrated. Good finish

30% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 20% "Century-old" Carignane, 15% Mourvedre, 6% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon Sometimes blends like this can be dismal failures. Not so Cuvée Mythique. A good medium-/full-bodied wine priced to keep on-hand but capable of laying down for a few years. Rich garnet-amethyst color and full bouquet lead into just the right balance of spice, fruit, earth, and oak (with the palate drying Grenache finish) to pair comfortably with most hearty beef, pork, and game fowl dishes. It's a Vin de pay, so don't expect your socks to be blown off, but it's a good solid wine with a good QPR from a region all too often overlooked. Keep some on hand for everyday dinner and to give as an under-$20 gift.

(Les Vignerons du Val D'Orbieu La Cuvée Mythique) Roasted meats, menthol and sage nose; soft on palate, but more complex than other Languedoc Syrahs 87+ pts.

Had with grilled flank steak with Dad and Ron. Nice, pleasant wine. Probably wouldn't buy again.

lovely spicey and dark fruit flavours with good structure and acidity. Fairly complex.

Nice but a bit too smooth and sweet for rack of lamb.
