Lonny & Kim's btl tonight with appetizers before dinner at our place tonight. A very clean fresh Champagne but in need to a little time to add some depth.

Beautifully aged. Nose brioche, a mix of apple, red fruit - strawberry and cherry, peach. Palate has nice acid, mineral, almost salty note. Showing relative dosage propensity.

Retail $50. 30% Chardonnay from Chouilly (Grand Cru), 25% Pinot Noir from Bisseuil (1er Cru), and 45% Pinot Meunier from Damery (Marne Valley). I purchased a handful of bottles of this wine from Last Bottle Wines a few years ago for $30, and this was the actual last bottle in my cellar. We last opened one a little over a year ago, with similar notes. Excellent.
Great depth (Jaco Pastorius bass) anchors a taut line of cherry and key lime. Very satisfying. And fantastic with portobellos. Worth paying attention to.

Dégorgement 2012. A beauty. Fine mousse, nice fruit and toast, gorgeous mouthfeel. Great P/Q!
