Drank this in a tasting vs. 2005 Dom. Drouhin Pinot Noir Oregon (fair comparison on the vintages I think). This Bourgogne was of course less fruity than the Oregon (I was not able to detect much of it anyway). Was hard for a newbie like me to describe the notes I could feel on the nose. I thought leather at noon when we opened the bottle. Later on, in the evening I was starting to detect tobacco. Today, one day later, tobacco is really the primary note. Acid level was perfect for me as well as the tannins, both should contribute well to age and improve this village. I believe this is a great value for the price.

Very nice nose that does not quite carry over to the palate. A bit diluted, weak fruit, with a bit of greenness that is not disagreeable. About 1/4 bottle left to see if there is any change. Wow.. came back to this after 3 days... this had fleshed out, richer on the palate, but still elegant and deft...much better wine than I originally had thought. Bumped score up.

(Drouhin Joseph Chorey-lès-Beaune) Lovely high-toned pinot fragrance - this is super - slowly starts to develop a cranberry note. The palate shows sweet, slightly dense fruit, it’s got a nice minerality to it and more dimension of fruit on the palate than you expect from Chorey. The mildly grained tannin is well-hidden in the background. This is very, very good. The empty glass smells lovely too - hows that for value…

Light, delicate & very pretty. A good showing for the age of this wine.

Nice value, medium light weight, a little metallic on the mid palate, light but balanced, enjoyable.

Medium garnet color, subtle cherry fruit on the nose, clean fruit and medium weight taste, subtle overall.
