PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs and day 2, bottle from secondary market -med bright red minimal bricking -low key cherry liqueur licorice faint tar-like mature elements; obvious sousbois on day 2 -med acidity pokes in at the tail end with a refreshing uplifting note, med- weight and depth unidimensional dark cherry earth faint sousbois, slightly astringent med tannins; tart note dominates with mature elements on day 2 -pleasant, meets expectations for the appellation and vintage, on its mature plateau perhaps starting its decline, have always been fond of this cuvée chez Drouhin for its simple honest expression at a very fair price

This wine showed very little signs of aging. Been in my cellar since '08. There was no real benefit to putting it down this long. That said, it's still delicious. simple, pleasant, light bodied, well balanced.

Real nice bottle. A little too tart upon opening, but after 20-30 min it really smoothed out. ashegedyn TN captured some of the highlights for me, although my palate vocabulary is not that detailed. I suspect this has a few years left in it (View from the Cellar gives it to 2025), although I am not certain how it might change over that many years. Regardless, in an excellent place right now.
Day 2 needed to bump this up to the magical 90. Very nice. Perfectly integrated.

(Joseph Drouhin Chorey-les-Beaune) Very pale red color with clear meniscus; bright strawberry, red fruit and floral nose; tasty, tart cherry palate with good acidity; short-medium finish

Still recovering from Covid but this was mature balanced, some nice cherry fruit and complemented meatball stroganoff well.

Slight cherry, red berry fruit. Substantial forest floor, wet earth notes. Quite delicious still, not much grip left, seems at peak maturity.
