Decanted 2 hours+ and benefited greatly for it. Dusty tannin that carries the fruit well, and the acidity is lively but not over the top. White pepper and Cherry's are the predominant feature, there seems to be some complexity developing. Drank one of these same time last year and was really disappointed whereas this time it was a complete turn around. Saved a glass in the bottle for the second night and enjoyed even more so.

Hunter Valley - 4 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 13.7%, A$24} The leftovers (presumably) from the single vineyard offerings combine to make this entry level quaffer. The price is pretty decent, and it’s a translucent, cherry and pepper concoction, just medium-bodied, with soft gritty tannins and savoury tangy fruit. A bit front-palate, but an almost-medium-length finish. Hard to fault for value.
