AP 35 16. I'm left puzzled by this wine. The signature 2015 floral scents are almost overwhelming - so much so that on the nose I swore this a Gewurztraminer. Very light, delicate, and perfumed. Not at all the huge dessert wine that this was in 2010 or 2012, this is overly soft, almost completely lacking the brilliant mineral streak that makes Mosel Riesling so unique. An interesting wine, but I'm at a loss for what I'd pair this with. Or how to score it. A curiosity in its own right but with so many brilliant wines this year I'm not buying any to cellar.

The nose was fresh and fruity with sweet floral tones. On the palate, I found silky textures displaying ripe mango, apple and lemon, before turning floral tones and spice. The finish was long with palate-coating tropical fruits, yet wonderfully fresh at the same times. This wine is so perfectly balanced.

Selbach-Oster quick impressions: Captivating, interesting nose. Honey, minerals, saline, florals. Serious wine. Very very good.
