Hartford zins are so consistently good. And they age very, very well. Medium bodied with the perfect amount of acidity and delicious, pure red raspberry and a hint of baking spice. Probably just past peak but still drinking incredibly well and should hold for the next few years.....but I'd drink now and enjoy if I had another bottle!

Dark, nearly opaque. Still purple but not likely to improve with age. Not aromatic. Typical old vine nose of dark blue fruit and earth. Intriguingly flavors of blueberries, gritty tannins, marked tart acidity. Again old vine zin. Extended juicy finish. Typical New World California style. Nicer by itself than with the cheese dip apples that I regularly enjoy with old world style wine. Unique but not as elegant or balanced as other RRV wines.

Enticing floral and raspberry aroma with flavors that echo the floral component. Red berry and occasionally tropical (?pineapple) flavors evolve. Finishing heat is distracting

An exceptional Zin. Fruit and spice on the nose, and we'll-balanced on the palate with red fruits and nice acidity. Impressive for 15% ABV does not feel hot in the least

Big musky nose. Dry, spicy and chalky. Great but I liked the fruity Hartford Vineyard a bit better.
