Was this flawed? I don’t think so. On the nose was lumberyard. on the palate there was zero fruit, grippy tannins and sharp acid. That’s it. It went down the sink. This shouldn’t be over the hill for this wine, but perhaps there used to be fruit?

80% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano, 6% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha de la Finca Ygay, vineyards between 320 and 485 meters above sea level and different types of soils: from clay-limestone, franco-sand, franco-clayed, stony and clay-iron. It ferments in stainless steel and is raised for 18 months in 225 L American oak barrels. Aromas of red and black fruits, spices, balsamic, aromatic herbs, fresh, serious, elegant, balanced and long.

Very much on the oak and vanilla. Tanins are still very much present - I would give it still a few years to peak.
