Drinking beautifully right now. Inviting nose, very slight touch of 'dill pickle', pleasantly so. Comes in with dark berry fruit, nicely integrated tannins, good acidity. Great QPR! I'm glad I still have two bottles in the cellar. They'll keep for the next 3-5 years.

Attractive nose, quite lifted in its dark berry fruit, oak spice, and hint of cinnamon aromas. The palate started out linear, fresh, and tart but plummy notes of blackberries and spices fleshed out nicely, developing weight and texture, and kept evolving as the night wore on. Licorice and bottle age complexity on the finish.

Opened up beautifully after about 1 hour of air. Rich and perfumed, a lovely match for assorted LA yuppified diner food at Johnny's, outdoor setting.

Meh. Tastes like wine. OK balance, not weird, but nothing really stands out.
