Maturing nicely, this has lost a bit of the edge from what I remember, but nice SB aromas without being too aggressive, still minerally with grapefruit citrus, with good length. Very enjoyable.

Initially soft and fruity, with intense gooseberry-driven aromatics, lacking the bracing quality I appreciated last time I tasted this wine. But this did put on some bones with several hours of air, eventually showing improved structure and depth. The leftovers were gorgeous on day 2, with notes of citrus, lanolin, crushed stones as well as more-restrained gooseberry. But it's decidedly less severe than I prefer and indeed recall from my previous bottle, and I do think there's a bit of sugar in there that I missed first time around.

Pretty nice - a little rounded and not as aggressive as I like my SB's - but this was drinking very well. Still have some left over for tomorrow and we'll see how it does.

Mouthwatering celery-lemon flavours; dry and round; lush with great balance. Star fruit; lingering citrus finish. A complete thirst quenching wine.
