Big pimpin'. Popped and decanted for about 5 hours. Still didn't budge beyond my initial impression. Moderate ruby in the glass. Primary fruit dominance with just licks of oak that can be detected if you really dig deep. Same is on the palate. There is great elegance, sophistication and depth to this, something that simply comes with a great Echezeaux, but unfortunately, it was opened way too young to be enjoyed in all aspects. Give this 4-5 years to start singing.

Burgs, Rhones, Piedmont, and Krug: I don't care for the combination of very ripe sweet dark cherry fruit with a touch of spice and astringent tannin, it needs time and won't surprise me if it improves dramatically with age.

beautiful, very pretty wine. Very feminine. Very forward for the vineyard, but that certainly is not a criticism. should drink well young, but age gracefully.

Friday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Anne Gros & Méo-Camuzet (Vosne-Romanée): Barrel tasting at the domaine. Lots of red cherry throughout, riper to start, more restraint middle to finish. Picks up weight as well middle to finish, with more acid and soft tannins coming through. VG for its level. Should also drink well young for Grand Cru, but with the sneaky structure to age gracefully.
