Beautifully big and round without being rich or overblown. Balanced, with acidity lying underneath the fleshy core. Seems fair to me to call this wine flawless. I would like to be able to drink this all the time. 12.7% alcohol.

Blind: assumed California Chardonnay but thinking Santa Cruz or Anderson Valley. Surprised by SRH, good news.
Nose was pear and a little muted, not getting any oak influence. Palate is right in the wheel house for lean, strong acid, lime on the attack, and lemon rind finish. Clean, tart and angular. Very nice.

Served blind. In total, this reminded me of Copain's new era chardonnays, reflecting a clean, precise purity of flavor and balance, without any oak or glycerine in the way. Powdered rock and lime skin aromatic. Pear, clean, polished texture, spicy green apple, nectarine, slate. 12.7% ABV. This is right in the chardonnay zone that I drink and enjoy these days.

To my taste, this was a richer, fatter sort of chardonnay. Went fine with spicy salmon.

Super fresh, ripping acidity. No butter bombs.
