My wine group had this at a Januik wine tasting, at a NYC restaurant, where it was opened, but not decanted for at least 30 minutes before we drank it. My last bottle...why didn't I buy more?? Dark color, medium amount of glycerin. Medium length finish.

Washington Wine night w/ my wine group @ a NYC restaurant. We had, in order, 2012 Avennia Sestina, 2015 Andrew Will Cabernet Franc, 2013 Soos Creek Champoux, 2014 Upchurch Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2014 Januik Petit Verdot Ciel du Cheval. All were open, but not decanted, for at least 45 minutes before pouring.
This may have been my (and most of the group's) first experience with a 100% PV. We all loved it. Some notes of coffee on the nose. Very dark color, a medium amount of glycerin, and despite what we thought about PV, not a tremendous amount of tannis. Medium length finish.

Washington Wine Tasting; 6/29/2017-7/1/2017 (Woodinville, Seattle, Jet City): Tasted at Novelty Hill/Januik tasting room in Woodinville's Hollywood District. 98% petit verdot, 2% cab sauv. My first varietal PV. Loved the aroma!!! Pepper, spice, tannic. An interesting flavor... which just wasn't that flavorful. An interesting experiment.
