Double decanted at 5pm and brought to a friend’s house for dinner and put back into a decanter. After another 30 minutes or so the nose opened up with bright violet and rose petals. Very bright acidity. Medium bodied and energetic. Red cherry fruit is coupled to some herbal and lots of mineral notes. Very nice but not exceptional at this point. Perhaps better with some more age in the cellar.

A very solid Gevrey 1° cru, made in a more traditional style. Evident whole cluster here, this is quite stemmy, showing a lot of spice and a bit of greenness. Bright red (cherry) fruit profile, a bit chewy on the back end, finishing with a peppery spice. A tad rustic, and still showing some new oak, this needs time for all the parts to come together.

Wine-ark Burgundy Tasting (wine ark alexandria): Dusty and muted red fruit under some stalks. Better on the palate but in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. At least it wasn't corked. Nah.

Lots of cherry on the palate with a little tartness and acid. Overall it’s a nice effort. I prefer a little less cherry but I still like this one.
