It appears to be virtually impossible to write a review of this wine without mentioning the word “oak,” and with good reason given that it’s the predominant flavor here. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a good wine with nice structure and has its place for those who like this genre (like I do). The color at this point is a bright golden yellow with a nice weight and viscosity. Nose has very present notes of butter, ripe green apple, and a bit of clove, all leading to a palate that shows secondary notes of freshly baked bread and the slightest hint of lemon. Still even a bit refreshing. Very American style, nicely done.

Drank with crab legs Xmas Eve and finished over the rest of the evening. Excellent complement. Nice flavors and not overly oaky. At this price I might start drinking chards again.

Light gold in color. Some tropical fruit with soft vanilla and pear on the palate. Full bodied - creamy and buttery with just the right amount of oak. Always a great chardonnay.

Light golden color. Tropical fruit nose. Palate of pear, apple, butter and oak. Balanced fruit and acidity. Full body. Creamy and smooth. Paired perfectly with AK king crab legs.
