This is a stunning Auslese from this very traditional producer. Old-school and classic in the best sense of the word, it‘s showing beautifully ripe notes of peach, also some citrus, cassis, there are also some floral notes as well as a hint of tobacco leaf, as well as some mineral notes, just some petrol and honey. This seems very youthful for its 18 years. It‘s medium bodied, with excellent persistence, it has pretty high acidity and a medium sweetness that is perfectly buffered by the acidity. Long and complex finish. A great Auslese and I continue to be very impressed by this producer. I absolutely love this and it still has a good 10 - 20 years of life, at least.

Fantastic. Pulled right out of the Eurocave and PnP. Brilliant golden hue, surprisingly light in color for its age. The nose exploded out of the glass with rubber, beautiful stone fruit, honey, white flowers, and lemon. The palate was decadent, with the same notes but kept in check with a wonderful shot of lemony acidity. Will seek out more of this - it was phenomenal

When these wines skyrocket to $500/bottle, I'm going to regret drinking this on a weeknight with leftovers.
Vibrant 18.5 year old wine that explodes with peaches, apricots and petroleum. Balanced acidity and sweetness, this was just a joy to drink.
Love the move to screwcap for this vintage and beyond too.

PNP into Atiap Titanium 200mL wine vessel ("Leaf" day): Medium golden to the eyes.
Pure and elegant stone fruits. A lot of verve and energy thanks to the screwcap enclosure.
Some petillance and incredibly fresh and complex.
95 points.
