Definitely still alive and kicking. This has all the fragrance and vigorousness of Barossa Cab Sauv and lives and dies by whether you like that flavour or not. It is in your face and exciting and unashamed and you should, in my view, enjoy it for exactly that reason.

Picked up on the cheap, less than $20, a one off bottle. Brooding deep crimson, hate to agree with RP, but maybe hints of graphite of all things, can't quite put my finger on it. Inoffensive and smooth, but the fruit has gone. Short-medium finish. Impressive legs. The wine it not off, but has over reached its peak for sure as my lack of fruit comment above suggests. Still a decent quaffer but I wouldn't buy this year again.
