White fruits, nice acidity and a long slightly bitter finish. This reminded me more of a Barsac than anything else I've tried previously. A really enjoyable if not spectacular wine.

I liked but didn't love this; very rich with those buttery/grilled peach flavours I find in ZH PGs and lots of botrytised honey and vanilla flavours, but felt a touch heavy on the palate with a slightly bitter finish. Pat noted it was very Barsac-like, which I agree with.

This was terrific with foie gras, great balance with the long aftertaste that one looks for in a VT. There must be significant bottle variation given the tasting notes others have posted; this was not at all overly-sweet or tired. Wish I had more!

Color: deep burnished gold/copper -> medium gold rim. Heavily botrytized nose; apricots, peaches, brown sugar, madeira. Palate for this was really off; oxidized, short finish, gone. No rating. Wondering if this is representative . . . .
Really interesting in that this bottle looked completely different from two other bottles of the same wine I have: this one was shorter and less heavy -- smaller base. Glass was brown vs. more green cast for the other two larger bottles. Wine in this bottle much deeper color than the other two. Capsule on this bottle was intact and looked authentic and the cork was properly branded with the correct year. Wondering if there was more than one bottling for this wine ? ? ?
Hoping (deperately) that the other two bottles will provide a much better tasting experience.
