- Brick color and aromas of strawberry, blackberry, cherry and cedar. It's balanced and has flavours of black pepper, raspberry and cherry with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Decanted two hours. It needs time to open up, smoked meat nose.

Classic aromas of black cherry and smoked meat with hoisin. The palate leads with blackberry and boysenberry, nicely offset by veins of creosote and green peppercorn. A well knit wine, with youthful fruit, modest tannin, and sufficient balancing acidity. This could last 5, maybe 10 years but peaking in 0-2 for my tastes. Typically great Sonoma Syrah.

Notes following an impatient 10 min decant. Nose has bramble fruit, black pepper, violets. Palette is largely consistent with velvety tannins and medium acid. Simple but nice showing.

Another well done domestic syrah. Opened and developed over several days. First notes of some great primary blue fruits, but then closed down and became a bit vegetal on the nose and palette.
After three hours, the primary fruit returned and found this to be extremely well integrated with the tannins present, but in check. Notes of sage brush, wild herbs and blue fruits.
All the elements of a cool climate syrah were in place.

First come black pepper and smoked meat. Then olives, violets, and plums.
Beautiful acid and medium tannin. Great mix of new and old world Syrah.
